Business Overview

The Pine Rack is a traditional country workshop and showroom situated in Ballintubber, Claremorris, adjacent to the historical Ballintubber Abbey.

At the Pine Rack you will find traditional country furniture made from new and reclaimed pine which has been sourced locally. My pieces represent the presence of the past. They are handmade, free standing, custom designed and made to order.

Many of my pieces that can be seen in my showroom are country dressers, tables, sideboards, lockers, wardrobes and much more.

Clients can choose a number of finishes like Beeswax or sealed but also have the choice of some of the original paintwork, where is possible.

It is guaranteed that each piece is hand finished with love and attention. If you are unable to find what you are looking for please contact me and I will do my utmost to help you meet your requirements as the items listed are just a small selection of what I make. I also restore and repair original pieces and custom made kitchens in particular in old pine.

As you are browsing through my website you will see some miniature pieces in the Craft Section as this is where my business originated.

After attending craft fairs with smaller pieces of furniture and being constantly asked about bigger pieces and having 25 years experience of furniture making behind me the decision to start up my own business, The Pine Rack, in 2006 was an easy one and has gone from strength to strength.

My showroom, adjacent to my workshop is well worth a visit with big and small pieces for everyday use in the home or gifts for that special occasion like weddings, Christmas and birthdays as something handmade feels just right.

My love and passion for old Irish country furniture together with the traditional Irish design is evident in all my pieces and can be both practical and beautiful.
